ICMAB and de tempête Partner to Boost GCC Careers for Accountants
The Institute of Cost and Management Accountants of Bangladesh and United Arab Emirates-based de tempête signed a three-year memorandum of understanding to expand international career opportunities for Bangladeshi accounting professionals across the Gulf Cooperation Council markets.
Memorandum Signed in Dhaka by Institute and Firm Leaders
The agreement targets members, affiliates, and students of the Institute of Cost and Management Accountants of Bangladesh, according to a Daily Star report. ICMAB president Md Kausar Alam and de tempête founder and CEO Mohsena Khanom signed the formal memorandum of understanding in Dhaka.
De tempête operates as an accounting business process outsourcing and business growth advisory company. The newly established partnership focuses specifically on building career pathways in the United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia, and other regional Gulf states.
Partnership Provides Practical Training for Accounting Professionals
The partnership aims to support accounting professionals through practical training, market knowledge, and access to professional networks, Mohsena Khanom explained. Planned activities include workshops, webinars, and specialized courses tailored to individual destination countries.
Curriculum topics span core accounting functions, anti-money laundering regulations, compliance standards, financial reporting, taxation, and value-added tax frameworks. Participants can also receive structured assistance with CV preparation, interview skill development, professional network building, and workplace expectations across the Gulf region.
Recruitment Support and Target Market Confidence
Recruitment support under the agreement involves circulating job vacancies, connecting candidates directly with employers, and organizing interviews, subject to relevant requirements. Both organizations will jointly agree on program timetables and implementation arrangements over the three-year term.
Md Kausar Alam stated that preparing members, affiliates, and students for international careers requires strong technical foundations and an understanding of target markets. This collaboration will provide practical learning, professional exposure, and career guidance to help professionals pursue opportunities in the Gulf with greater confidence, Alam told the Daily Star.
