BOSTON (WHDH) – An Immigration and Customs‍ Enforcement (ICE) operation has commenced in‌ Massachusetts, according to a report by The New York Times.The report cites two ‌sources with direct knowledge of the​ initiative.

The new York ⁤Times indicates ⁤the operation began late this week and is ​anticipated to continue​ for‍ several weeks.

Boston​ Mayor Michelle Wu released a statement responding to the reported operation, stating,⁣ “For months, the​ Trump ‍DOJ, ⁣DHS, ⁣and ICE have been spreading blatant ⁣lies and threatening to “bring hell” to cities like Boston who refuse to bow down to their authoritarian‍ agenda, so this unconstitutional⁢ attack is not a surprise. ⁢This country was born facing down bullies, with Bostonians leading ⁢the way.
