Hyderabad district Collector Hari Chandana dasari has mandated an intensification of medical services at the Urban Primary Health Center (UPHC) in Aghapura, following a surge in seasonal illnesses attributed to recent rainfall. The directive was issued during an inspection conducted on Tuesday.
Emphasizing the critical need to contain the proliferation of diseases such as dengue,malaria,and other communicable ailments,the Collector urged the healthcare staff to maintain heightened vigilance.This includes ensuring prompt diagnosis and effective treatment for all patients. During her visit,Dasari meticulously reviewed patient records,medicine inventory,attendance logs,laboratory results,and the condition of dressing rooms. She also engaged directly with patients to gauge the standard of care being delivered.
Moreover, the collector advised medical officers to provide complete counseling to expectant mothers. This guidance should encompass the vital importance of proper nutrition, adherence to vaccination schedules, and the adoption of healthy lifestyle practices, including yoga and regular exercise.
