Cousin of Actress Huma Qureshi Killed in Delhi Parking Dispute, Two Arrested

New Delhi – Asif Qureshi, a 42-year-old resident of Delhi’s Nizamuddin area and cousin of Bollywood actress Huma Qureshi, was fatally attacked on Thursday night following a dispute over a parked scooter. Police have arrested two individuals, identified as Ujjwal (19) and gautam (18), in connection with the murder. The incident occurred near the Jangpura Bhogal market lane around 11:00 PM.

the tragic event unfolded after qureshi, son of Ilyas Qureshi and a bhogal, Jangpura resident, asked two men too move their scooter which was blocking the entrance to his home. What began as a request quickly escalated into a violent confrontation, ultimately resulting in his death.

The Escalation to Violence

According to Saleem Qureshi, Asif’s father, the initial disagreement stemmed from the obstruction caused by the scooter. “My nephew politely asked them to move it aside so the entrance could be cleared. This led to a fight and an argument. There were two of them, and both together assaulted my nephew Asif,” Saleem Qureshi told reporters.He further stated the two assailants physically attacked Asif, leading to his death.

Police reports indicate Asif sustained a deep chest wound, allegedly inflicted with a “poker-type” weapon during the altercation. He was promptly transported to a nearby hospital but was pronounced dead upon arrival.

the accused, Ujjwal and Gautam, are residents of the same locality, living just a few houses away from the Qureshi family on Church Lane. Investigators have stated that Ujjwal initiated the assault.

Authorities have revealed that prior arguments between Asif Qureshi and the two accused regarding parking had occurred previously. The Qureshi family alleges Asif was attacked with a sharp object. A murder case has been registered, and both Ujjwal and Gautam are currently in police custody.

“Further investigation is underway to ascertain the sequence of events and the role of each accused in the assault,” a police officer stated,as quoted by PTI. The body has been sent for a post-mortem examination to determine the exact cause of death and gather further evidence.
