The Laver Cup will take place from September 20 to 22. The main players include Carlos Alcaraz, Ben Shelton, Alexander Zverev, Daniil Medvedev and Frances Tiafoe. The tournament will see the favoured Team Europe face Team World, who are looking to break their winning streak of two straight wins. The tournament, founded by Roger Federer, brings together the best players on the tour for the seventh year in a row in a team competition, this time at the Uber Arena in Berlin. Each team will consist of six players selected by the captains.
The Europeans, led by Bjorn Borg, won the first four editions in a row, but Team World, led by John McEnroe, secured the trophy in the last two editions. This will be the last time Borg and McEnroe serve as captains, as they will be replaced by Yannick Noah and Andre Agassi respectively from 2025.
Three singles matches and one doubles match are played each day. On the first two days, each player must play one singles match, with a repeat match only possible on the last day. However, no player may play more than two singles matches.
In doubles, each team must field two pairs (four different players) on the first two days. A replay of the doubles match can only take place in the deciding match if necessary. In the German-speaking countries of Germany, Austria and Switzerland, the Laver Cup can be watched on Eurosport.
