Teh race for larger smartphone batteries is intensifying.
Honor is reportedly planning to equip its flagship phones with a standard 7,000mAh battery, and its mid-range devices with an 8,000mAh capacity. This follows the recent release of the Honor X70, which features an 8,300mAh silicon-carbon battery.
Though, Honor is not alone in this trend. Several other manufacturers are contributing to the growing popularity of high-capacity batteries:
| Brand | Model | Battery Capacity | Fast Charging |
|---|---|---|---|
| OPPO | K30 Turbo, K13 Turbo Pro | 7,000mAh | 80W |
| Realme | Realme 15 Pro | 7,000mAh | 80W |
| Redmi | Note 15 Pro+ (rumored) | 7,000mAh | Not yet specified |
| iQOO | Z10 (rumored) | 8,000mAh | Not yet specified |
| Xiaomi | Xiaomi 16 series (rumored) | 7,000mAh | Not yet specified |
For fans of Apple and Samsung, however, the prospect of seeing such large batteries in their flagship devices remains distant, as neither brand has indicated plans to adopt this trend in the immediate future.
