Honor Magic V6: Thinnest Foldable Phone & New Tablets Unveiled at MWC 2026

Barcelona – Honor unveiled its latest foldable smartphone, the Magic V6, at an event in Barcelona on Sunday, one day before the official start of Mobile World Congress 2026. The device, touted for its slim profile, is positioned as a direct competitor to Samsung’s foldable offerings.

The Honor Magic V6 measures just 8.75mm thick when closed, slightly thinner than the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 7, which comes in at 8.9mm. The phone features a 7.95-inch inner display with a resolution of 2,352×2,172 pixels and a 6.52-inch exterior display with a resolution of 2,420×1,080 pixels. Both displays boast refresh rates up to 120Hz. Honor has incorporated technologies designed to enhance the viewing experience, including anti-glare coating, dynamic dimming, and features intended to alleviate motion sickness.

Durability has been a key focus in the Magic V6’s design. The device utilizes a “super-strong” steel structure and a nano-crystal shield to protect the displays, and is certified with both IP68 and IP69 dust and water resistance ratings – a first for a foldable phone, according to Honor. The company demonstrated the phone’s robustness with a public demonstration involving its use as part of a zipline setup.

Internally, the Magic V6 is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chip, paired with 16GB of RAM and 512GB of storage. It houses a 6,660mAh silicon-carbon battery supporting 80W wired charging and 66W wireless charging. The camera system comprises a triple-lens array: a 50-megapixel main camera, a 64-megapixel periscope telephoto camera, and a 50-megapixel ultra-wide camera. Two 20-megapixel selfie cameras are included, one for each display.

Beyond the Magic V6, Honor also introduced the MagicPad 4, a 12.3-inch tablet measuring just 4.8mm thick. The tablet is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 chip and features a 10,100mAh battery with 66W wired charging. Its display boasts a refresh rate of up to 165Hz and is supported by eight speakers with spatial audio. The MagicPad 4 will be available in Gray and White.

Rounding out the announcements was the Honor MagicBook Pro 14, a 14.6-inch laptop featuring a 120Hz OLED touch display and a battery promising up to 15.5 hours of use. The laptop will be configurable with Intel Core Ultra processors ranging from the 5 to the X9 series, and Intel Arc B370 and B390 GPUs. It will ship with Windows 11 Home.

Honor highlighted the Magic V6’s compatibility with Apple devices, noting potential integration with devices like the Apple Watch – a feature increasingly common among Chinese smartphone manufacturers. The device also incorporates Google Gemini AI, which is expected to be integrated across various phone functions.

The Honor Magic V6 will be available in Gold, Red, White, and Black in “select markets” during the second half of 2026, with pricing to be announced at a later date. Pricing and availability for the MagicPad 4 and MagicBook Pro 14 have not yet been disclosed.
