Police in Binche, Belgium, are appealing for witnesses after a hit-and-run incident on Sunday, February 15th, at approximately 11:15 PM, left one person injured. The incident occurred near number 35 on an unspecified street in Binche, according to a police statement released Tuesday.
Authorities are seeking information regarding the vehicle involved, described only as having been driven by a “chauffard” – a term indicating reckless driving – at the time of the collision. The call for witnesses comes as the police are also investigating a separate incident in Binche: a violent home invasion that took place in October 2023.
