‘Helldivers 2’ Blasts onto Xbox This Summer
Smash-hit shooter *Helldivers 2*, previously a PlayStation and PC exclusive, is set to launch on Xbox Series X/S consoles August 26. The popular game has sold over 12 million copies since its initial release.
Xbox Debut
After being available solely on PlayStation 5 and PC, *Helldivers 2* is expanding its reach to Xbox. The game is slated for release on Xbox Series X/S on August 26 and will feature cross-play capability.

**Eriksson** also told Xbox Wire that players can expect much more content in the coming years. According to Statista, the Xbox Series X/S had sold an estimated 24.49 million units worldwide as of the first quarter of 2024, indicating a significant new audience for the game.

PlayStation and Xbox Crossover
*Helldivers 2* marks the first PlayStation-published title to appear on Xbox consoles. This move follows a trend of former Xbox exclusives becoming available on PlayStation.
On the same day *Helldivers 2* arrives on Xbox, *Gears Of War* will debut on PlayStation with the *Reloaded* remaster. *Senua’s Saga: Hellblade 2* is expected in August, and *The Outer Worlds 2* in October.
Game Pass Plans
Despite the multi-platform release, the community manager for *Helldivers 2* has stated that there are “definitely not”
any plans to bring the game to Xbox Game Pass. This information comes via Gaming Bolt.
More ‘Helldivers’ on the Horizon
A *Helldivers 2* film adaptation is in development. This project was announced earlier this year alongside live-action and anime adaptations of *Horizon Zero Dawn* and *Ghost Of Tsushima* respectively.
