Tuchel Criticises Bellingham’s Reaction After England‘s World Cup Qualifying Victory
England completed their flawless World Cup qualifying campaign with a 2-0 win against Albania, securing eight victories from eight matches in Group K and conceding no goals. Though, manager Thomas Tuchel has criticised Jude Bellingham’s reaction to being substituted during the match, describing it as “petulance.”
Tuchel acknowledged Bellingham’s frustration but stated the midfielder “has to accept the decision.” He further praised Harry Kane‘s record-breaking performance, surpassing Pelé’s tally of 77 international goals with a late double. “We just mentioned it in the dressing room,” Tuchel said. “This cherry on top of everything is that he overcomes Pelé today. The investment of Harry in these matches is just outstanding. He is so invested in everything that we do.”
Tuchel also highlighted Kane’s consistent high level of performance, noting it mirrored his form for Bayern Munich. “If you see him play for Bayern Munich, I have to say it’s the same. He’s in a mindset and a physical condition that is absolutely at the highest level. He produces goal after goal for us, and the way he works, tracks back, finds solutions in offensive play. It’s just outstanding at the moment.”
