Hamburg Police Investigate Fatal Stabbing – 20-year-Old Woman in Custody
Hamburg – A 36-year-old man died Saturday night after being stabbed in his apartment on Nobleestrasse. A 20-year-old woman has been arrested in connection wiht the incident.
Police were alerted shortly after midnight by a neighbor who received a visit from the woman, who rang his doorbell and asked for help.Authorities say the woman had been involved in an argument with the 36-year-old resident of another apartment within the building, during which she fatally stabbed him.
The man was alive when officers arrived at the scene, but succumbed to his injuries despite the efforts of emergency responders.
A police spokeswoman stated that the 20-year-old was arrested and a blood sample was taken “due to her obvious intoxication.” She is expected to be transferred to a detention center Saturday.The Hamburg homicide squad is currently investigating the case.
