Krychowiak Open to Playing in Poland, Signals Potential Return to Ekstraklasa
Warsaw, Poland - Polish international grzegorz Krychowiak, a free agent as July after his contract with Anorthosis Famagust ended on june 30, 2025, has indicated a willingness to play in the PKO BP Ekstraklasa, reversing his previous stance against a move to the Polish league. The 35-year-old, who has earned 100 caps for Poland, shared his thoughts with journalists at the premiere of the film “Szczęsny” in Warsaw.
According to Mateusz ligęza of Radio Zet, Krychowiak’s response suggests a potential return to Poland is now a possibility. Legia Warsaw has previously been reported as a club with interest in acquiring the midfielder.
Krychowiak has not ruled out continuing his career and has expressed readiness to play domestically, despite never having featured in the Ekstraklasa. He began his senior career abroad as a teenager with Girondins Bordeaux in France. He has since played for sevilla, PSG, Aek Athens, Nantes, Lokomotiv Moscow, Krasnodar, West bromwich Albion, Al-Shabab, and ABHA.
