Derek Griffith Claims $10,000 Granite State Pro Stock Series Victory at Lee USA Speedway
LEE, N.H. – Derek Griffith kicked off the NASCAR weekend at Lee USA Speedway with a commanding win in Saturday’s Keen Parts 150, securing a $10,000 prize and further solidifying his position as a frontrunner in the Granite State Pro Stock Series.Griffith lead the 150-lap feature from the pole, demonstrating the strength of his equipment and skill behind the wheel.
The victory marks a meaningful early-season achievement for Griffith, who is already contemplating future racing plans, including potential participation in the upcoming Derby race and a 400-lap event with PASS scheduled for the end of October. The Granite state Pro Stock Series is a regional touring series known for its competitive racing and talented drivers, serving as a proving ground for aspiring NASCAR stars and a popular draw for short track enthusiasts throughout New England.
Griffith’s dominant performance at Lee USA Speedway showcased his versatility and adaptability. He currently fields three chassis, including the winning car, a PASS-configured machine acquired from Garrett Hall in 2022, and a chassis specifically for national-level events. ”The red chassis car came from Canada. It used to be owned by Kyle Reid,” Griffith said. ”That’s the car we’ve run at Speedweeks. We’ve only run it at Speedweeks so far. It was a damn good car. I don’t know, I think this new generation of Fury chassis is so much better. I don’t know what we’re going to do.”
Despite the success of his existing cars, Griffith is evaluating his options with newer equipment. “Those other cars were so damn good,” he noted. “They won so many races. I don’t know what I’m going to do yet.”
