Great American Gunshow: Philadelphia Explores Gun Culture and Violence

Team Sunshine Productions is bringing it’s acclaimed performance piece, “Teh Great American Gun Show,” to Philadelphia for a limited engagement. The show, which has previously been presented as “work-in-progress showings” at Caldwell Consistory in Bloomsburg and the Asian Arts Initiative in philadelphia in August 2022, will now play at Safe-Hub Philadelphia (1020 E Venango St.) from August 7 to 9, with performances starting at 7 p.m. Tickets are priced at $5 and can be purchased through Eventbrite.

Directed by Alex Torra and created in collaboration with a team of Philadelphia-based designers, “Gunshow” is part of a larger project that will see unique, location-specific iterations developed and presented in New Orleans, Hudson, New York, and Whitesburg, Kentucky.
