Grand Theft Auto VI requires 210GB on PS5 database
Grand Theft Auto VI will demand 210 gigabytes of free storage space on PlayStation 5 consoles, increasing the amount of storage required for games just weeks ahead of its November 19 launch.
PlayStation Database Reveals Massive Footprint
The storage requirement surfaced within the PlayStation database. Social media account PlayStation Game Size initially detailed the data before Insider Gaming subsequently confirmed the specification, as reported by gamer.no.

That volume will consume more than a quarter of the available storage on a base-version console’s built-in solid-state drive. That drive provides 667 gigabytes for games after accounting for system updates.
Rockstar Keeps Silence on Final Download Size
Rockstar Games has not clarified whether temporary installation files are included in the 210-gigabyte figure. This leaves the door open for the final downloaded footprint to shift slightly before release day.
Still, the scale aligns with expectations set by earlier previews. Those previews pointed to a detailed world packed with a large amount of activities across its fictional map.
Pre-Load Window Opens November 12
Digital pre-orders placed through the PlayStation Network will unlock pre-loading on November 12. This gives players a full week to complete the download ahead of the November 19 release date.

The seven-day window is designed to accommodate slower network connections and prevent overloading the servers on launch day.
PS5 Pro Users Face Fewer Storage Issues
Standard console owners facing storage constraints may need to uninstall existing titles or move secondary content to external drives.
Conversely, users of the upgraded PlayStation 5 Pro and its 2-terabyte drive will encounter fewer storage issues. Meanwhile, Microsoft has not yet published official storage figures for the Xbox Series X and Series S versions of the game, though they are expected to be similar.
