GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. – Three individuals have been sentenced following an investigation by the Mesa County Sheriff’s Office Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) Task Force. The task force focused on individuals possessing sexually explicit materials involving minors, leading to arrests throughout 2024.
Five suspects were initially arrested during the summer of 2024,with an additional arrest occurring in December of the same year. This week, sentencing was handed down for three of those convicted.
Anthony Svaldi Sentenced to Jail and Lifetime Probation
Anthony Svaldi,48,of Loma,was convicted on charges of sexual exploitation of a child. He received a 90-day jail sentence and will be subject to Sex Offender Intensive Supervised Probation for a period of 10 years to life. As a condition of his probation, Svaldi is prohibited from any contact with minors.
River Kincaid Receives 20-Year Sentence
River Kincaid, 26, of Grand Junction, was convicted on two counts of Sexual Exploitation of a Child and one count of Distribution of a Controlled substance.He was sentenced to a total of 20 years in jail and is required to register as a sex offender.
Luther Miner Sentenced to probation with Community corrections
Luther Miner, 25, of Grand Junction, was convicted of Sexual Exploitation of a Child and Tampering with physical Evidence. He received a sentence of eight years of Sex Offender Intensive Supervised Probation,which includes a condition of 28 months of community corrections.
