GovHost Expands Public Safety Platform with Acquisition of True North Software
GovHost, a provider of cloud-based solutions for public safety agencies, has acquired True North Software, an Illinois-based developer of Computer-Aided Dispatch (CAD) and Records Management System (RMS) software tailored for smaller and mid-sized law enforcement organizations. The move signifies GovHostS commitment to delivering modern technology to a segment of the public safety market often underserved by larger vendors.
The acquisition adds important capabilities to GovHost’s existing portfolio, bolstering its offerings in cloud-first CAD, RMS, and Jail Management System (JMS) solutions. True north’s specialized expertise in areas like state reporting compliance, LEADS 3.0 integration, and real-time NIBRS validation will integrate with GovHost’s current platforms, creating a more complete and unified solution.
GovHost intends to leverage the combined strengths of both companies to accelerate product growth and broaden support for public safety agencies nationwide. Importantly, True North will maintain its operational structure, with key personnel remaining in their leadership roles to ensure continuity for existing customers. These customers will also benefit from increased access to technical resources and enhanced system interoperability.
