Governor cox Outlines Priorities for Utah ‍in 2026 State ‌of⁤ the State Address

Salt Lake City, UT – Governor Spencer Cox‌ delivered his 2026‍ State of the⁤ State address on Thursday in⁢ the House⁣ chamber at the Utah ⁢State capitol, ‌outlining his legislative priorities for ‍the year. The speech ‌focused on key areas including ⁤water conservation, economic⁣ opportunity, and education reform.

Governor cox emphasized the ongoing drought conditions in Utah and the need for continued investment in water infrastructure and⁣ conservation efforts. He announced a new initiative, the “Utah Water Security plan,” which aims to reduce state-wide water consumption by ⁢25% by 2035.
