Gemini CLI & Code Assist Users Gain Increased Model Request Limits

Google‍ is⁢ boosting model request limits for ‌Gemini CLI and Gemini Code Assist, providing increased capacity⁤ for developers subscribed to AI ‍Pro and‍ Ultra plans. The update, rolling out over the next 24 hours, allows users to leverage Gemini 2.5 Pro and ⁤Flash models more extensively‌ within thier workflows.

This enhancement arrives ⁢as adoption of Gemini’s developer tools continues to grow. Launched in ⁢may,‍ Gemini Code Assist integrated⁤ with VS Code and IntelliJ, ‍followed ⁣by the open-source Gemini CLI in June-bringing‍ Gemini’s AI capabilities directly to the terminal. The increased limits empower developers utilizing ⁢features like VSCode’s IDE mode, the Zed‌ integration,⁢ and recently released GitHub Actions for the CLI to build more efficiently.

The changes benefit all Google AI Pro and‍ Ultra subscribers, enabling more frequent‍ and ⁤complex interactions with Gemini’s models. Users can now spend more ‍time coding⁢ and building with ⁢Gemini’s assistance.

Those not ⁢currently subscribed to Google AI Pro or‌ Ultra can ⁤ sign up to access these⁤ benefits and more.
