Stylish Golf Tournament Raises Funds to Protect Ukrainian Children
VILNIUS, Lithuania – September 16, 2025 – The 9th Czeslaw Okinczyc Golf Cup, held at the European center Golf Club, concluded yesterday wiht a meaningful contribution towards safeguarding Ukrainian children impacted by ongoing conflict. The charitable golf tournament successfully raised funds for a mission spearheaded by O. Zelensky to provide protection for vulnerable children amidst escalating attacks. The event, noted for its complex atmosphere, drew support from prominent figures across Lithuania, Poland, and Ukraine.

Funds generated will directly support efforts to shield children from the devastating consequences of the conflict, offering a lifeline of safety and security. Česlav Okinczyc expressed profound gratitude for the outpouring of support, stating, “It is truly moving to witness our collective efforts and your generosity achieve such a vital objective. Distinguished guests in attendance included Ukrainian Chargé d’Affaires in Lithuania, Viktor Hamotskyi; former First Lady of Poland, Jolanta Kwasniewska; Ukrainian Ambassador Olga Nikitchenko; Karolis Vitkauskas, Head of Credit union “Nėris”; Professor jan Widacki, the first Polish Ambassador to Lithuania; Edward Miszczak, Program Director of Polsat Television; Grzegorz Hajdarowicz, owner of the “Rzeczpospolita” newspaper; Algirdas Kumža, signatory of the Act of Independence; Marek Michałowski, former President of the Polish Golf Federation; and Mindaugas Plūkas, President of the Lithuanian Golf Federation.
