mendoza Duo to Showcase “Glorias del Este” at Prestigious Premiere Festival
Guaymallén, Mendoza – A celebrated Mendoza acting duo, featuring Daniel Posada, will bring their acclaimed play “Glorias del Este” to the Premiere Festival in Mendoza City following a successful run at the Julio Le Parc Cultural Space. The production, inspired by María Rosa Pfeiffer’s “More dead than alive,” has captivated audiences as its debut in May 2024 and is now poised for a wider audience.
The play centers on Polo and Justino, the last remaining members of a neighborhood club’s Board of Directors, as they desperately attempt to save their beloved institution. Their plan hinges on competing in an international “toad” championship - a unique sport in which they’ve previously found national success – to be held in las Vegas. The duo hopes a victory will secure the club’s future and continue providing services to its remaining members.
“Glorias del Este” is described as a humorous and heartwarming story exploring themes of friendship, collective strength, and dedication to seemingly lost causes. The production showcases two prominent figures in Mendoza’s acting scene and has already completed a successful second cycle on local theatrical billboards.
Originally directed by the late Claudio Martínez, a respected figure in Mendoza theater who passed away in 2021, the play is now under the direction of Daniel posada.
Before heading to the Premiere Festival – a highly regarded theatrical contest organized by the Municipality of Mendoza – audiences can catch a performance on Saturday, August 30th, at 9:30 p.m. in the Gómez Roomada of the julio Le Parc Cultural Space in Guaymallén. Tickets are available for $10,000 through Entradaweb.
