Globe Soccer Awards Announce 2025 Finalists, Highlighting Football’s Biggest Stars
DUBAI, UAE - the finalists for the 2025 Globe Soccer Awards have been revealed, showcasing a stellar lineup of talent competing for football’s highest honors. The awards ceremony, set to take place on December 28th in Dubai, will recognize achievements across multiple categories, from Player of the Year to Best Coach.
The prestigious awards, launched in 2009 by the European Club Association and the European Association of Football Agents, celebrate excellence in the sport and provide a platform to honor the world’s most impactful players and managers. This year’s nominations reflect a blend of established superstars and emerging young talents, signaling a dynamic shift in the landscape of global football.
Leading the contenders for the coveted title of Best Football Player are Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) forwards Ousmane Dembele and Kylian Mbappe, alongside Barcelona’s rising star Lamin Yamal. The shortlist also includes Desir Douai, Achraf Hakimi, Khvicha Kvaratskhelia, Nuno Mendes, Vitinha (all PSG), Erling Haaland (Manchester City), Mohamed Salah (Liverpool), Vinicius Junior, Kylian Mbappe (both Real Madrid), robert Lewandowski, Rafinha, Pedri (all Barcelona), and Cole Palmer (Chelsea).
In the Middle East Footballer of the Year category, Cristiano Ronaldo (Al-Nasr), karim Benzema (Al-Ittihad), Riyad Mahrez (Al-Ahly), and Salem Al-Dawsari (Al-Hilal) will vie for the award, acknowledging the growing influence of the region in the world of football.
The competition for the Best Young Player Award features Elisse Ben-Segir (Leverkusen), Pau Kubarsi (Barcelona), Arda Güler (Real Madrid), Kenan Yildiz (Juventus), Desir Douai, and João Neves (both PSG).
Rounding out the nominations,the Best Coach award will see Xabi Alonso (Real Madrid),Mikel Arteta (Arsenal),Luis Enrique (PSG),Hans-Dieter Flick (Barcelona),Enzo Maresca (Chelsea),and Arne Slot (Liverpool) battle for recognition.
