sons Dispute Validity of Document Purportedly Virginia Giuffre‘s Will
PERTH, Western Australia – The sons of Virginia Giuffre, who died in October 2024, are challenging the authenticity of a document presented as their mother’s will, raising questions about the disposition of her estate. The dispute surfaced during court proceedings concerning potential conflicts of interest regarding a litigation guardian for the sons.
The challenge comes as Western Australian authorities continue investigating the circumstances surrounding Giuffre’s death, which her family previously attributed to suicide. While police are not treating the case as suspicious, a report is being prepared for the coroner, with no timeframe yet established for its completion. The validity of a will is central to determining how Giuffre’s assets will be managed and distributed, impacting her sons’ financial future and possibly influencing ongoing legal matters related to her allegations of abuse by the late Jeffrey Epstein.
During a court hearing on Friday, Jon Patty, the sons’ lawyer, addressed the possibility of a conflict of interest if Giuffre’s father, Sky Roberts, were appointed as a litigation guardian. Patty stated, “he could be joined in his capacity as guardian or some other equivalent capacity. Otherwise, if there’s a prospect of any conflict, I’m sure we could find some other person to act as litigation guardian.” The discussion arose as Roberts publicly questioned the circumstances of his daughter’s death, claiming on Piers Morgan Uncensored in May 2024, “There’s no way that she committed suicide … somebody got to her.”
A WA police spokesperson confirmed this week that detectives are preparing a report for the coroner, but reiterated the investigation is not being treated as suspicious. The WA coroner’s court has not provided a timeline for the completion of their investigation.
Virginia Giuffre, 41, was a central figure in allegations against Jeffrey Epstein and Ghislaine Maxwell, having publicly detailed being groomed and abused by Epstein. Her death prompted an outpouring of grief and renewed scrutiny of the Epstein case.
