HoYoverse Unveils ‘Varsapura,’ a New Unreal Engine 5 Open World Game
hoyoverse,the developer behind Genshin Impact and Honkai: Star Rail,has revealed its next major project: Varsapura,an open world action game built on Unreal Engine 5. A 30-minute gameplay trailer showcased the title, introducing players to a world blending reality and a shadow realm, alongside fast-paced combat and stealth elements.
The game centers around a shadowy organization called SEAL and features character switching reminiscent of Zenless zone Zero.Varsapura distinguishes itself visually by combining HoYoverse’s signature anime art style with more realistic environments – a departure for the studio. Each character boasts a unique fighting style, utilizing unconventional weapons like paper and parasols.
Like Genshin Impact and Honkai: Star Rail, Varsapura is expected to employ a gacha system for character acquisition.While a release date remains unconfirmed,the extensive gameplay footage suggests a well-defined creative direction. HoYoverse reportedly shared the gameplay to aid in recruitment efforts at its Shanghai and Singapore offices.
This proclamation follows the recent reveals of Petit Planet, an Animal Crossing-like title, and Honkai Nexus Anima, an auto-chess battler.
