Gemini App Now Supports Audio Uploads

by Rachel Kim – Technology Editor

Gemini⁢ users can now upload audio files directly within the app, expanding the range of content shareable in chats. ⁣The update allows for greater adaptability in communication and collaboration, letting users share voice notes, music clips, or other audio content alongside existing supported file types.

Previously limited to videos up to 5‌ minutes (free) or 1 hour (paid) and 2⁤ GB in size, and other files ⁣capped at 100 MB, gemini now accommodates ⁣audio uploads as part of a broader 10-file limit. Users can also share code folders or GitHub repositories (up to 5,000 files and 100 MB), and ZIP files containing up to 10 files.‍ This expanded functionality aims‍ to make‌ Gemini a more versatile platform for diverse content ‍sharing needs.
