Garmin Rolls Out Bug Fixes and New Features Across Watch lineup
Garmin users can now access a new update – version 20.07 – bringing a wave of bug fixes and enhancements to both its affordable Vivoactive 6 series and premium Fenix 8 and tactix 8 watches. The update,initially released through the beta program,addresses crashes,black screens,malfunctioning features,and scrolling issues,improving the overall user experience.
This widespread update highlights Garmin’s commitment to refining its smartwatch ecosystem, ensuring consistent performance across its diverse product range. While software updates are common, this release is notable for its breadth, impacting both entry-level and high-end devices together. It demonstrates Garmin’s responsiveness to user feedback and proactive approach to maintaining software quality.
The 20.07 update introduces several new features, including a bicycle-VO2 Max-Guide plate and support for GPI files. Users will also find the option to utilize automatic touch lock and unlock during strength training sessions, if enabled. Garmin reports the update contains over 30 tweaks and bug fixes in total.
