Argentina‘s Futsal Teams Begin Preparations for League Evolution Tournament
BUENOS AIRES – Argentina’s senior and sub-20 national futsal teams concluded their first week of readiness for the upcoming League Evolution tournament, a Conmebol growth competition. Training for the senior squad began in June with exercises led by Prof. Pablo Rubio, followed by tactical rehearsals under Damián Stazzone.
The League evolution tournament features associations competing with both their under-20 and senior selections. Argentina is placed in the southern zone alongside Bolivia, Chile, Paraguay, and uruguay. The zone winner will advance to a final match against the champion of the northern zone, comprised of Brazil, Ecuador, Colombia, Venezuela, and Peru. Each team roster will consist of ten players,with the option to include two youth players during matches. This marks the seventh edition of the tournament; previously known as the South American League from 2017-2019, it resumed in 2022 after a two-year suspension due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
