NHK Morning Drama “Anpan” Draws Inspiration from Real-Life Tea Ceremony Student
TOKYO – The upcoming NHK morning drama, “Anpan,” based on the lives of “Anpanman“ creator Takashi Yanase and his wife Nobu, features a character modeled after masako Koshio, a long-time secretary to Yanase and current representative of Yanase Studio. Koshio met Nobu, approximately 30 years her senior, at a tea ceremony rehearsal. This marks Furukawa’s first morning drama appearance in five years, following her role in “Yell” (2020). She previously appeared in NHK’s special drama “Idol” (2012) and Taiga drama “what Will Ieyasu” (2013).
