Funny Writing for Film & TV: A Comedy Masterclass
Television writer and comedy coach Christian Eisert will lead a seminar on comedic writing for film and series on May 18, 2026, in Stuttgart, Germany. The event, titled “Lustig Schreiben für Film und Serie” (Writing Comedically for Film and Series), will focus on the development of jokes, comedic characters, and maintaining humor under time constraints.
The seminar, hosted by the Film Commission Region Stuttgart in cooperation with MFG Filmförderung Baden-Württemberg, is aimed at filmmakers, production companies, and film service providers. According to the Film Commission, the seminar will also cover how editors and producers evaluate, improve, and target humorous content to specific audiences.
Eisert’s experience includes writing gags, sketches, and scripts for German television programs such as “Alfons und Gäste,” the Harald Schmidt Indicate, “Löwenzahn,” “Shopping Queen,” and “Rolls-Royce.” He also offers coaching on developing humor and eliciting laughter. The seminar costs 15 euros to attend and will be held via Zoom.
The Film Commission Region Stuttgart is also hosting a series of other workshops and events in the coming months, including a KI Summit on March 26, 2026, and a film discussion event on April 22, 2026. A larger film festival, CINELATINO, is scheduled for April 22-29, 2026. A seminar on shooting with animals is scheduled for April 27, 2026.
