Francesco Fiore Appointed President of Ebat Napoli
Francesco Fiore is the new president of Ebat Napoli, the bilateral agricultural body that brings together employers’ organizations and trade unions that signed the provincial collective agreement for agricultural workers.
Leadership Transition at Ebat Napoli
Fiore takes over the presidency from Emilio Saggese, who represented the Uila union. Prior to this appointment, Fiore served as the director of Confagricoltura Napoli. His stated objective is to maintain continuity with the work completed over recent years and to strengthen initiatives supporting businesses and workers within the agricultural sector.
Ebat Napoli operates through an agreement involving both employer associations and labor unions. The employer side includes Cia Agricoltori Italiani, Coldiretti, and Confagricoltura. The worker representation consists of Flai Cgil, Fai Cisl, and Uila Uil. The organization manages supplementary benefits for agricultural workers and promotes programs focused on training and workplace safety.
Priorities for the Agricultural Sector
The leadership transition occurs during a demanding period for agriculture in the Naples province. Current priorities include protecting workers’ health during extreme heat waves, managing seasonal labor supply, and safeguarding the financial stability of both workers and agricultural enterprises.
We will continue to develop and enhance active policies in favor of companies and agricultural workers,
Fiore stated, outlining an agenda centered on consolidating services and support measures for the entire sector.
Addressing these challenges requires targeted interventions and ongoing cooperation between employer organizations and labor unions so that bilateral instruments can respond effectively to local needs. Fiore emphasized that the primary goal is to increase support for the agricultural supply chain while fostering dialogue between social partners.
