Fox News Dominates Cable News Ratings for July 24th, Securing Key Demographic Wins

In the competitive landscape of cable news for Wednesday, July 24th, Fox News Channel (FNC) emerged as the clear leader, consistently outperforming CNN and MSNBC across both total viewers and key demographic segments. The network secured the top spot in total day and prime time viewership, demonstrating broad appeal throughout the broadcast day.

FNC’s total day viewership reached 1,004,000,significantly ahead of MSNBC’s 346,000 and CNN’s 335,000. This trend continued into prime time, where FNC garnered 1,287,000 total viewers, compared to MSNBC’s 378,000 and CNN’s 283,000.

The network’s strength was especially evident in the afternoon and evening hours. At 4 PM, “The Scott” on FNC drew 1,040,000 viewers, while CNN’s “Newsroom/Dean” had 439,000 and MSNBC’s “Best People*” attracted 415,000. The 5 PM hour saw FNC’s “The Five*” lead with 1,082,000 viewers, followed by CNN’s “Newsroom/Dean” at 495,000 and MSNBC’s “Sharpton” at 436,000.

FNC’s “big Weekend” programming continued to dominate from 6 PM to 7 PM, with viewership figures of 1,361,000 and 1,459,000 respectively. during these hours, CNN’s “Newsroom/Dean” recorded 413,000 and 368,000 viewers, while MSNBC’s “Weekend” programming garnered 361,000 and 352,000 viewers.

The 8 PM hour saw FNC’s “levin” capture 1,281,000 viewers, outpacing CNN’s “Cooper*” with 389,000 and MSNBC’s “Weekend” with 395,000. In the highly competitive 9 PM slot, FNC’s “Trump” programming drew 1,290,000 viewers, significantly higher than CNN’s “Live Aid*” at 274,000 and MSNBC’s “Maddow*” at 409,000.

The 10 PM hour maintained FNC’s lead with “Failla” attracting 1,291,000 viewers, while CNN’s “Billionaire*” garnered 187,000 and MSNBC’s “Best People*” had 330,000. The late evening continued this trend, with FNC’s “Gutfeld*” at 11 PM drawing 870,000 viewers, compared to CNN’s “Eighties*” at 260,000 and MSNBC’s “Best People*” at 225,000.

The data indicates a strong performance for Fox news Channel across all measured time slots on July 24th, solidifying its position as the leading cable news network for the day.
