Fort Hood Patients Allege Secret Recordings by OB-GYN
KILLEEN, Texas (KWTX/Gray News) – Several patients have come forward with allegations that an OB-GYN at Fort Hood’s Darnall Medical Centre secretly filmed them during examinations. The women, represented by the Cobos Law Firm, held a news conference to demand justice and accountability, with the firm planning to file a civil lawsuit on thier behalf.
The Cobos Law Firm accuses both the doctor and Fort Hood leadership of allowing a years-long pattern of abuse against female patients. They contend that complaints against the physician were repeatedly ignored.
Attorney Andrew Cobos stated the allegations involve the doctor improperly photographing and videotaping patients during procedures like breast exams and prenatal checkups. He alleges the recordings were made using the doctor’s cell phone, often under the guise of expecting a phone call, with the device concealed in his breast pocket.
While the women involved have chosen to remain anonymous, several shared their experiences publicly. One patient from Colorado recounted a situation where she alleges the doctor performed an unauthorized second vaginal surgery while she was under anesthesia, then “manipulated” her into believing it was acceptable during recovery.
Another woman stated, “He crossed professional and personal boundaries in ways that made me feel deeply uncomfortable and unsafe. He then further violated my trust by lying in his clinical report about the things that he said and the way that he touched me during that visit.”
the Cobos Law Firm asserts that multiple complaints had been filed against the doctor prior to the lawsuit.
KWTX is withholding the doctor’s name as he has not been formally charged with a crime at the time of this report.
