Formula Legends Races Towards September 18th Release with New Trailer & Demo
Budapest, Hungary – Indie developer 3DClouds Studio has announced a September 18th release date for Formula Legends, a new racing game aiming to bridge the gap between hardcore simulators and accessible arcade-style Formula One experiences.A new trailer showcasing gameplay and features accompanied the announcement, alongside the immediate availability of a demo for PC players. A Nintendo Switch demo will follow on August 14th.
Formula Legends promises to cover seventy years of Formula One history, featuring recognizable teams, tracks, cars, and drivers – though the game emphasizes a more approachable experience than dedicated simulators like those from Codemasters. Developers are prioritizing fun and accessibility, offering a range of assists for newcomers while still incorporating elements of realism such as tire wear and fuel consumption. The game will also feature a detailed damage model, evolving track conditions, and dynamic weather.
The PC demo currently available on Steam allows players to experience Custom Race and Time Attack modes on classic and modern versions of the Spa-Francorchamps (Belgium) and Hungaroring (Hungary) circuits. Three distinct eras – the mid-1970s, early 1990s – are playable, with dynamically changing weather, customizable gameplay settings, and new camera angles.
Formula Legends is slated for release on PC, PlayStation 5, Xbox series X/S, and Nintendo Switch on September 18th.
