Football Transfer Rumours: Premier League Clubs Chase Striker and Midfielder Targets

by Priya Shah – Business Editor

Breaking: Newcastle United manager Eddie howe is reportedly intensifying his search for defensive reinforcements, with AC Milan‘s Malick Thiaw emerging as a key target. Howe is actively seeking contact information for the Serie A club, including the Italian dialling code (+39) and the San Siro stadium number (+39 02 48908931),to initiate transfer discussions.

The current transfer window has seen widespread demand for strikers, making the continued availability of free agent Dominic Calvert-Lewin somewhat surprising. The 26-year-old former Everton forward, who scored 58 goals in 221 appearances for the Toffees,is now attracting interest from newly promoted sunderland, potentially offering a significant attacking boost to Michael Beale’s squad.

Midfielder Jacob Ramsey is generating significant transfer speculation. While Nottingham Forest previously expressed interest, West Ham United has now reportedly submitted a £40 million bid for the 24-year-old. Aston Villa, who developed ramsey through their academy, would realise a 100% profit on his sale, bolstering their financial position under owners Nassef Sawiris and Wes Edens. Ramsey has made 118 appearances for Villa, scoring 9 goals.

Nottingham Forest’s midfield search appears to be multifaceted. Reports suggest the club is concurrently pursuing two distinct targets: Douglas Luiz of Juventus (though Luiz currently plays for Aston Villa, not Juventus) and Mads Bidstrup from RB Salzburg. Bidstrup, a 23-year-old Danish international, has been a key player for Salzburg, featuring in 34 matches across all competitions last season.

In the Championship, former Manchester United defender Brandon Williams is poised for a return to competitive football after a year-long absence. The 23-year-old, who last played for Ipswich Town on loan, has been trialling with Hull City, with the club expressing strong interest. However, several other Championship clubs are also monitoring his situation, recognizing his potential value as a versatile full-back.
