Final Fantasy VIIRemake Intergrade ⁢ Confirmed for ​Nintendo Switch 2 and ‍Xbox Series X|S, Launching January 22, 2026

Fans ​of the iconic RPG will soon ‍be able to experience Final Fantasy VII Remake Intergrade ‍on new platforms. Square Enix announced today that the game will ​launch on Nintendo Switch 2 and Xbox Series X|S on January 22, 2026, bringing the critically acclaimed reimagining of Midgar to a wider audience. ‌This marks the first time⁤ the Remake has been available outside of the PlayStation and PC ecosystems.

arriving⁢ nearly six years after its initial release on PlayStation 4 in 2020, the Nintendo Switch 2 and Xbox ‌Series X|S versions will include a new “Streamlined Progression” feature designed to enhance accessibility.This mode offers unlimited MP and HP, 9999 damage output, and simplified weapon ability acquisition, allowing players to focus on the game’s narrative and combat.

Pre-orders begin today and include exclusive bonuses. Digital pre-orders for Nintendo Switch 2, ⁤Xbox series X|S, and Xbox on PC will grant players access to ‍the original Final Fantasy VII game. ‌Xbox players can ⁢download and play the original⁤ promptly upon pre-ordering, while Nintendo Switch 2 players ‍will recieve access starting January 22, 2026. This offer is valid until January 31, 2026. Physical pre-orders for the Nintendo Switch 2 version will ⁢include a Magic: The Gathering-Final Fantasy Play Booster pack containing 15 randomly selected cards.

Square Enix also confirmed plans to bring the entire Final Fantasy VII remake trilogy – including Rebirth and the currently-in-growth third installment – to Nintendo Switch 2 and Xbox Series X|S alongside PlayStation 5 and PC. The third part of the series is currently “diligently‍ produced” as the‌ concluding chapter to the remake project.
