Final Fantasy 14 Management Issues Login Compensation and Extends Events
Emergency Login Suspension Hits Servers
All servers for Final Fantasy XIV experienced a temporary halt in new logins following a security patch addressing a vulnerability in the programming language PHP, ff14.co.kr reported.
Security Reinforcement Spurs Adjustments
The login suspension prompted management to issue compensation and adjust active event schedules for players. According to ff14.co.kr, the disruption stemmed from server security reinforcement work carried out to mitigate the PHP vulnerability.
Four Days of Free Game Time Granted
To compensate for the lockout, accounts holding valid subscription packages as of October 22, 2026, at 1:25 AM will receive four days of free game time. This compensation extends to users holding retainer service or Chocobo saddlebag access as of the same timestamp, granting an additional four days for those auxiliary features as well. Distribution is scheduled for October 26, 2026.
Exclusions Apply to Specific Access Types
Accounts utilizing tethered PC Bang access, consumption-based billing, free passes, or the level 80 free-play benefit are excluded from the compensation pool. Management noted that requesting a subscription refund will also revoke any compensation time granted for the maintenance.
Event Deadlines and Schedules Extended
Event schedules adjusted alongside the login downtime include the “Eorzea Exploration Ticket” promotion. Point accumulation now runs through October 28, 2026, extended from the original October 26 cutoff, while the reward collection window moves from November 9 to November 11, 2026.

Similarly, the “Adventurer Custom Healthcare Program” sees its active period extended to November 11, 2026, with the reward claim deadline shifting to December 9, 2026. In-game event pages will reflect these scheduling updates on October 26, 2026.
