the Path to Peace: Honoring Sacrifice
Galvez asserted that the most profound tribute to the country’s fallen heroes lies in collaborative efforts to maintain peace.
The men and women of the OPAPRU are one with the Filipino people as we pay tribute to the thousands of Filipino soldiers who made the ultimate sacrifice during the Fall of Bataan over eight decades ago.

Valor in Everyday Life
Araw ng Kagitingan serves not only as a remembrance of past sacrifices but also as an inspiration for present-day heroism.
Galvez highlighted that valor extends beyond military service:
On this Day of Valor, let us keep in mind that we don’t need to be in the frontlines of battle to become a hero. Each and every one of us, with our unique set of skills and talents, can become one by becoming beacons of peace, mutual understanding and solidarity among our people.
