Ferrol implements Traffic Restrictions on Church Street for Urgent Infrastructure Repairs
Ferrol, Spain - September 8, 2025 - The Ferrol Council today announced immediate restrictions on vehicle traffic along Church Street due to identified deficiencies in the roadway. The closures are necessary to facilitate urgent repair work aimed at improving urban infrastructure and enhancing road safety in the city center.
The restrictions impact traffic flow on Church Street between its intersections with Méndez Núñez and Rúa Coruña. Additionally, access down Sánchez Barcáiztegui from Magdalena Rúa is currently closed to vehicles.
According to a statement from the City Council, motorists will still be able to travel up Méndez Núñez, and access to the underground market parking garage will remain open.
“Cars will be able to travel by rise by Méndez Núñez and that the exit of the underground parking of the market will be enabled,” a council spokesperson confirmed.
The city Council anticipates further, potential traffic disruptions on other sections of Church Street as the project progresses throughout the week.
