Vasto Celebrates Successful Five-Day Feast of San Michele Arcangelo
Vasto, Italy – The city of Vasto came alive September 25-30, 2025, with a vibrant five-day festivity honoring Saint Michael the Archangel. The annual feast culminated in a traditional pyrotechnic display on September 30th, drawing large crowds and marking the close of a packed calendar of events.
The festivities included a diverse program appealing to all ages, featuring performances by the State Police Fanfare, a “Party90show” with Roby Santini, a Children’s Festival complete with Pompieropoli, a tribute concert to Lucio Dalla, DJ sets, the San Michele Prize, a performance by Luca Disio, and a concert by the Guardia di Finanza band. The celebrations underscored the city’s rich religious traditions and commitment to community engagement.
“The celebrations in honor of San Michele Arcangelo represent a moment of great participation for our city,” stated Mayor Francesco Menna. “A heartfelt thanks to the Vastese Confraternities and to the parish priests who, with dedication and commitment, keep our religious tradition alive.” He also expressed gratitude to the municipal departments, particularly the Department of Culture and Tourism, for orchestrating the comprehensive program.
