This advice comes ‍as new scientific research confirms the dangers‌ of ⁣highly-processed foods. A 34-year ​study ⁣published in the BMJ tracked over 110,000 health care workers in the​ USA, recording over 48,000 deaths and revealing a stark correlation between processed food intake and mortality. Individuals consuming approximately seven portions of ultra-processed foods daily faced a 4 percent ⁤higher risk of premature death, and an 8 percent‌ increased risk of death⁤ from‍ neurodegenerative diseases.

Tomioka⁢ stresses​ the importance of mindful eating, even when indulging in fast food. “Breathe deeply, eat slowly ⁣and carefully,” he advises.

Paprów ⁢further emphasized the dangers of common fast-food choices, stating,​ “Donuts, chickens, fried⁢ chops are a drama.⁤ It ‌is a white ‘bun’ – meat and ready, rich in simple carbohydrates and dyes or⁣ preservatives of the sauce.”

The study underscores the brain’s particular vulnerability to ⁣processed products, prompting experts to urge caution regarding diets heavy in these foods.
