Longevity Expert Reveals “Classic” Food He Avoids, Citing new Research on Premature Death
A leading longevity expert is advising people to rethink a beloved staple of the American diet, warning that frequent consumption can considerably shorten lifespan and increase the risk of neurodegenerative diseases. tomioka, a health and nutrition specialist, says he personally avoids a popular, widely-consumed food – a “classic that almost everyone loves” – due to its detrimental effects on long-term health.
This advice comes as new scientific research confirms the dangers of highly-processed foods. A 34-year study published in the BMJ tracked over 110,000 health care workers in the USA, recording over 48,000 deaths and revealing a stark correlation between processed food intake and mortality. Individuals consuming approximately seven portions of ultra-processed foods daily faced a 4 percent higher risk of premature death, and an 8 percent increased risk of death from neurodegenerative diseases.
Tomioka stresses the importance of mindful eating, even when indulging in fast food. “Breathe deeply, eat slowly and carefully,” he advises.
Clinical dietitian Kamil Paprów echoed these concerns in an interview wiht WP Abczdrów, stating, “Lampy food shortens life.” He specifically identified deep-fried items, those containing refined white flour, saturated fats, and highly processed meats as especially harmful. researchers pinpointed ready-made dishes based on red meat, poultry, and seafood as posing the greatest risk.
Paprów further emphasized the dangers of common fast-food choices, stating, “Donuts, chickens, fried chops are a drama. It is a white ‘bun’ – meat and ready, rich in simple carbohydrates and dyes or preservatives of the sauce.”
The study underscores the brain’s particular vulnerability to processed products, prompting experts to urge caution regarding diets heavy in these foods.
