At the end of a mounted chase, during which the suspect was seen to be a resident of the area in his 20s, driving a stolen vehicle and hitting other vehicles on the road, followed by a short foot chase, the Central District police managed to get hold of the suspect and arrest him. At the end of his investigation, the suspect was jailed and today he is brought to the Rishon Lezion Magistrate’s Court where the police will ask to extend his detention.
During an activity carried out by Central District police officers in Modi’in, the police officers noticed a vehicle that had been stolen a short time before when they were driving it in an attempt to escape from hitting a vehicle on the road.
It turns out that earlier, police officers of the Modi’in station opened searches yesterday upon receiving a report at the police headquarters regarding a suspected car theft from Rehovot. In the meantime, the police officers spotted a suspected stolen vehicle traveling on road 431 towards Modi’in and arrested the suspect, a resident of the territories in his twenties, without a driver’s license, after a chase on horseback and on foot when he was driving wildly while endangering road users and damaging vehicles, at the end of his investigation he was imprisoned.
The police intend to bring the suspect to the Rishon Lezion District Court today with a request to extend his detention, in accordance with the findings of the investigation.
