on Thursday, July 17, 2025, Washington D.C. will host a series of events to protest the Chinese Communist Party’s (CCP) 26-year persecution of Falun Gong.The demonstrations aim to call for an end to the persecution and the dismantling of the CCP.NTD and Epoch Times will provide live broadcasts of these activities.The CCP initiated a severe crackdown on Falun Gong, a practice emphasizing “Truthfulness, Compassion, and Forbearance,” on july 20, 1999. This persecution has involved widespread torture, imprisonment, and alleged organ harvesting of falun Gong practitioners, alongside defamation, economic suppression, and physical elimination. Despite these actions, Falun Gong practitioners have consistently continued to raise awareness and share thier experiences to awaken public conscience.
In July 2025,Falun Gong practitioners will gather in the U.S. capital for these awareness events. The day’s activities are structured as follows:
- Public Gathering: This event will feature speeches from American politicians and non-governmental organizations supporting Falun Gong and advocating for the cessation of the persecution.
Time: 12:00 PM – 1:00 PM (Eastern Time)
Broadcast: Live online.
- grand Parade: A parade will proceed from the rally site on 4th Street, along Pennsylvania Avenue, to Freedom Plaza.
Time: 1:30 PM – 3:00 PM (Eastern Time)
Broadcast: Together online and on television.
- Capitol Hill Forum: This forum, titled “End the Persecution of Falun Gong and Support the Movement to quit the Party in Mainland China,” will be held at the Congressional auditorium. U.S. Congressmen and representatives from national security, human rights, and religious freedom sectors are expected to speak. The event is sponsored by the Global Retirement Service Centre.

- Candlelight Night Mourning: This event will commemorate Falun Gong practitioners who have died as a result of the CCP’s persecution. It will include collective exercises followed by a candlelight vigil.
