Fairfield Athletics to Host “Basketball and Bourbon” Event October 7
Fairfield, CT – Fairfield University Athletics announced a unique fundraising event, “Basketball and Bourbon,” set to take place on October 7 at elicit Brewing Company. The event will feature opportunities to compete in a game of PIG against the men’s and Women’s Basketball coaching staffs, alongside food and drink pairings inspired by WhistlePig Rye Whiskey.
The event aims to raise funds for the Fairfield Competitive Excellence Fund, directly supporting the university’s athletics programs. Attendees will have the chance to sample WhistlePig bourbons (for those 21 and over), enjoy specially crafted treats like Waffles and Maple Old Fashioneds, and network with coaches.A $10 entry fee per game will contribute directly to the fund,helping Fairfield Athletics achieve its competitive goals.
“Basketball and Bourbon” offers a distinctive experience for Stags fans of all ages. The core activity involves a classic basketball shooting game – PIG – where players attempt to match each other’s shots; accumulating the letters P-I-G results in elimination.
