Casualties and Attack Details
At least eight individuals have been reported injured, according to the city’s military administration. Authorities indicate the attacks involved a combination of drones and what they are calling robots.
According to Kyiv Mayor Vitalij Klyko, downed drones reportedly struck several residential buildings, sparking fires in structures, including a multi-family dwelling and a gas station. Emergency services and medical teams are on scene, assessing the full extent of injuries.
Urgent Warnings Issued
The capital’s military leadership is warning of potential strikes from more potent ballistic systems. Residents have been urged to immediately seek shelter and remain there until further notice.
The Ukrainian Air Force reported the presence of multiple groups of robots detected within the nation’s airspace during the night.
Escalating Attacks
Russia has intensified its recurring aerial attacks on Ukrainian cities, many far removed from the front lines. The recent barrage included over 700 drones along with other robotic systems. In a statement on Wednesday, President Volodymyr Zelenskyj characterized it as the most extensive aerial assault of the war.
