Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 – A Photographic Journey Awaits
Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 has captivated players with its innovative gameplay and artistic merit. The game has garnered praise from both players and critics,with many highlighting its unique qualities. The positive reception even extended to French President Emmanuel Macron. Now, developers at Sandfall Interactive are planning to add a highly requested feature: a photo mode.
Developers Address Community Questions
During a Q&A session hosted by Final Fantasy Union, Nicholas Maxon (artistic director), Jennifer Svedberg-Yen, and Guillaume Broche, all from Sandfall Interactive, addressed questions about Clair Obscur: expedition 33.
When asked about future updates, Maxon stated:
We have a list of goals that we would like to achieve.Currently, our priority is to fix all the small mistakes that appear on the Internet. Nevertheless, we also plan a number of Quality of Life changes […] and we work on them. Bugs remain our number one, but smaller patches with new content are on the road and we will announce them when we have an internally solid plan to publish them.
Photo Mode Confirmed as a High Priority
The developers confirmed that a photo mode is indeed in the works.
Maxon elaborated:
It is indeed [tryb fotograficzny – dop. red.] High priorities on our list,as a lot of peopel expect it,even internally,among our team. It is indeed associated with more work than on the issues of Qualy of Life, but we will certainly finally create it.

Sandfall Interactive is also exploring potential DLC for Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 and considering new game projects. Furthermore,a film adaptation of the game is in development,in collaboration with the studio behind Netflix’s “Tomb Raider” and “Sonic 3: Fast as lightning.”
