eToro Expands Sports Sponsorships with French Soccer Teams and formula 1’s BWT Alpine F1 team
Online trading platform eToro has considerably expanded its sports sponsorship portfolio, forging partnerships with four prominent French soccer clubs and the BWT Alpine F1 team. The deals,brokered by Sportfive,eToro’s official commercial rights partner,demonstrate a strategic move to increase brand visibility within key European markets.
Sportfive’s senior vice president of sales, Benjamin Deblicker, highlighted the value of this multi-asset approach, stating, “This partnership with eToro demonstrates the relevance of multi-asset strategies, which enable brands to establish a long-term presence within a sports ecosystem while optimising impact and consistency at a national level.” He further emphasized Sportfive’s belief that this approach is “a genuine strategy for the future for advertisers looking to stand out in premium and highly competitive environments.”
in France,eToro will collaborate with Ligue 1 teams AS Monaco,Lille,Olympique de Marseille,and olympique Lyonnais. These partnerships will include branding on pitchside LED hoardings, interview backdrops, and across digital and social media platforms, alongside in-person activations.Lille will benefit from an elevated partnership, with eToro becoming the club’s official sleeve sponsor. Collectively, these four clubs have secured 28 Ligue 1 titles and boast a combined stadium capacity of 193,126.
eToro’s existing soccer sponsorships include english Premier League clubs Crystal Palace, Everton, and West Ham, all of whom have recently extended their agreements ahead of the 2025-26 campaign. The company also maintains partnerships with Bayer 04 Leverkusen, Union Berlin, Koln, and Mainz in Germany; AZ Alkmaar in the Netherlands; and Slavia prague in Czechia. Additionally,eToro sponsors Prem Rugby and PWR rugby union competitions in England.
expanding beyond soccer, eToro has entered Formula 1, becoming the exclusive trading and investment partner of the BWT Alpine F1 team for the 2026 season. While specific branding details are yet to be revealed, eToro is expected to gain prominent visibility on the livery of the Alpine vehicles throughout the season. This partnership aligns with Alpine’s broader strategy of attracting tech and digitally-focused brands,as evidenced by their recent sponsorship agreement with cloud-based talent management platform Avature.
The 2026 F1 season is scheduled to commence with the Australian grand Prix from March 6th to 8th.
