## Erin Blanchfield Focused on Future Opportunities After Setback
Erin Blanchfield is turning the page after a potential title eliminator slipped through her fingers, maintaining a positive outlook as she awaits her next challenge in the UFC’s flyweight division. The rising contender was poised too make a statement against Jasmine jasudavicius,a fight that could have propelled her into contention for a title shot following Valentina Shevchenko‘s defense against Manon Fiorot just two weeks prior.
While a dominant win over Jasudavicius could have positioned Blanchfield for a title possibility, the fight ultimately didn’t materialize. Despite the disappointment, Blanchfield is concentrating on the positives and preparing for what comes next.
“I mean, it wasn’t ideal, but it happened,” Blanchfield said. “Afterwards, I felt like it was kind of similar to how post-fights are. I kind of took my time to recover from camp and then got this fight set up, which was a great location, I think a great fight for me. I’m just excited for the next one.”
Blanchfield is now focused on capitalizing on future opportunities, understanding that momentum is key in a sport defined by them. She continues to train and remains resolute to climb the ranks and compete for the flyweight championship.
