Eric McGill, a junior marketing student at Northern Star’s College of Business, has begun contributing to the student newspaper as a photojournalist this spring. McGill, originally from Demorest, Georgia, joined the Northern Star staff in February 2026.
McGill’s first published work with the newspaper appeared on February 23, 2026, a photo gallery covering the gymnastics team’s performance at the Beauty and the Beast event and Senior Night. He collaborated on the piece with fellow journalist Aidan Penca.
According to publicly available information, McGill is 26 years old and currently resides in Demorest, Georgia. He recently returned to the North Georgia area and is offering a 25% discount on his photography services to the first ten clients in the region.
Beyond his academic pursuits and journalism, McGill enjoys sports, gaming and spending time with his two cats, named Bucket and Corndog.
