England ended a losing streak in one-day international cricket, defeating Sri Lanka by five wickets in Colombo. This victory levels their three-match ODI series at 1-1, setting up a decisive final match.

Harry Brook’s team rebounded from a 19-run loss in the series opener – their 11th defeat in 16 ODIs – with a strong performance. They dismissed Sri Lanka for 219 after 49.3 overs, having lost the toss and fielded first.
