“12 coups de Midi” Viewers’ wish Fulfilled: Émilien to Face Cyprien in Christmas Charity Special
PARIS – In a televised showdown years in the making, 12 Coups de midi‘s all-time greatest champion, Émilien, will finally compete against current champion Cyprien in a special christmas broadcast on December 24th. The event, titled 12 Christmas Coups, is a charity bonus organized to benefit Restaurants du coeur (Restos du coeur), aiming to fund up to 100,000 meals for the association.
Émilien, who amassed a record-breaking prize pool of 2,566,931 euros during his nearly two-year run on the TF1 game show, was eliminated on July 6, 2025. His departure shocked viewers who considered him unbeatable, cementing his place in French television history. as then, Émilien has transitioned to streaming on Twitch, continuing to showcase his impressive general knowledge through live quizzes and commentary on other game shows like Everyone wants to take their place.
The upcoming special will pair champions with celebrities, including Mimie Mathy, kendji girac, and Adil rami. Other past masters joining the competition are Bruno Hourcade and Éric Le Breton. The event marks another collaboration between Émilien and TF1,following appearances on The Battle of the Masters and the program’s anniversary evening. Jean-Luc Reichmann, host of 12 Coups de Midi, invited Émilien to participate.
